If I was 40 instead of 70 I’d still be playing blades like those. Absolutely beautiful. Well, maybe with some good senior graphite shafts I’ll give them a try again.
I own a set of Walter Hagen Ultradyne II.
The blades are far better than I am.
And the past few years I can’t play at all.
(7 severely compromised discs and two knees with *nothing* left.)
But I take the clubs out and touch them occasionally.
And last summer my #1 Son appropriated them.
He came back with a smile saying how much better they were than the newer “drop forged”.
They advertised them as being made with a process they called “Investment Casting.”
I’m not a metallurgist, I just know they feel good.
