Not a problem for me! I loved seeing it again.
I saw them live 8 times. I grew up in New York city and even came across Johnny around 1990 in the West Village moving furniture in the West Village helping a friend to move and I helped him move a bed set up 2 flights of stairs. Hows that for star interaction? None of this elitist leftist sh*t, he was doing the hard work himself. The only guy in the history of the phony Rock and Roll hall of fame to God bless a Republican.........

I’m an old fart, won’t say how old, but I’ve met quite a few people in my life time who have lived under commie countries, under totalitarian regimes, and all I can say is what you have read is nowhere even near the absolute hell, the absolute horror to what it really is. Imagine your brother, sister, mother, father or spouse being murdered by the government and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. I met a guy who had his 6 year old son stabbed to death in front of his face while living under the USSR, he told me his sons last words were “Daddy it hurts” and he watched him go still. ANYONE who promotes big government should have a sledgehammer planted on their head. Are these people completely blind to what is going on in North Korea? Can you imagine the absolute hell that is going on in that country? And they want to disarm the public? Like HELL they will! There is NOTHING more dangerous to humanity than a government with absolute power.
My bandmates and myself all saw Kiss as the ultimate garage band. Simple songs that were fun (and easy) to play, and fun to listen to. Rock that didn't kill a party.
KISS Alive was THE seminal live album. While their studio albums were good, that live album was able to demonstrate their live performance, and it was awesome.
I never did get to see them live... I had tickets to their Destroyer tour, but a family emergency kept me from going to the concert.

Thanks for the heads up - I’m a big RUSH fan. In that Rush documentary they tell several stories (both Rush and Simmons) of them being on tours together, with Rush opening for Kiss. Geddy said something like “Say what you want about their music or their show, they were a great influence on us on their work ethic and effort to put on a great show each night.”
“another closet KISS fan that feels the need to create some other excuse as to why they went to see the boys live.”
Wow. What’s your problem? I hadn’t really listened to them before I went and once I did I liked them. Doesn’t mean I was dressing like Ace on the weekends.
The tunes were catchy and the show was impressive. Don’t read anything more into it.
Don’t make me Shout It Out Loud.

Their hearts are in the right place...or maybe I should say, their hands over their hearts are in right place. They have always been pretty patriotic—tho looking at them might not guess that ;)
