I’ve seen this theory addressed many times already. When I was a video producer in the 90’s, I’d routinely load in my company’s equipment to hotel rooms all by myself. These were up to ten hard cases, each up to 75 pounds - all in different sizes and shapes - especially the long tripod cases - which could fit a small rocket launcher. People sometimes stared and, often, a bellman or valet helped or at least stood guard over my trips back and forth. No questions and no big deal, ever... ESPECIALLY in Vegas. The worst part was hauling that crap through the damn casino floors to get to the elevator. I could probably even dress like the Terminator. No one would care!
Well said.
The idea that he would have difficulty in bringing 10 large bags to an expensive hotel suite is ludicrous to anyone who has stayed in hotels.
They deal with this issue on a routine basis. No problem whatsoever.
I suspect people subconsciously *want* to believe in an accomplice. It makes them feel safer. If there was an accomplice, the chance of another such event is lessened.
Correct.
Vegas is convention central,(http://www.lvcva.com) and there is a major show there weekly not just like the latest comic con or some other nonsense, but huge industrial shows where companies bring in entire automated production lines and install and run them in the center there.
Sales, reps, technicians, installers, thousands upon thousands of them attend from all over the world and they bring with them all the tools, equipment, and production samples, necessary to do their jobs.
They all haul tools, samples etc. in professionally crafted cases which are designed specifically for their needs. Often these cases end up in hotel rooms as their contents are too valuable to be left behind in the convention center.
It is not unusual to see these types of cases in the hotels there at all, and by looking at them one simply cannot discern what secrets they contain.
If there is a gun show in town (which Vegas has several per year) they might even contain guns.
Like this case:
Why anyone would believe it would be difficult to get 20 plus rifles, pistols, ammunition etc. into their hotel room in Vegas is a mystery to me. The hotel service would be more than happy to deliver it directly to your room, as its their job.
This is especially true for customers who are tagged as high rollers.
Im absolutely sure that if you stay in a suit in Vegas as a high roller you do not ever schlep anything to your room. Its all delivered directly and waiting for you when you open the door. No questions asked.
After all if one is carrying cases to ones room, then ones arm is not available for punching the buttons on the slot machines.
The casino makes no money in having players carry their own bags.
Unless they are leaving, then they don’t care.
The assumption is also that he did it all in one trip. He was reportedly there for several days. He could have done multiple trips.
Yes ! This !
This whole post is what I was saying a few days ago. Media crews today are more common, and even youtubers are traveling like this.
