I heard Harry Dean Stanton’s last role was as an atheist facing death (just opened yesterday). I figured maybe it was a nice Christian story. Turns out he was a hardcore atheist in real life who hated Judeo-Christian beliefs and the movie apparently celebrates death being all there is.
