I’m curious how he set up monitoring devices (supposedly in the halls) to watch police coming to his room.
One can buy motion sensing video cameras and moniter at walmart. Operates on wifi.
now THAT is a legitimate question.
He set up the hallway monitor on a service cart (Like for food brought to your room). But how did he know it wouldnt be moved by someone?
He only needed to put the cart outside for 10 minutes or so. They don’t pick those things up that fast.
He had two gopros they said he set up on that cart in the hall pointed down the two hallways at each elevators. I haven’t handled the GP6, but I have SJcams which are clones. They run for about an hour constant on, on battery (which may be pertinent) and, using the gopro linking app, can wifi within 50ft or so directly to a viewing screen such as an iPhone or tablet etc. (If you’ve seen a gopro on a selfie stick they are usually married to a phone). They record to a miniSD card (and won’t operate without one in place) but can also be set to just wifi and not record. The receiving phone, tablet, etc can record what’s being transmitted or just act like a monitor. The third one was taped to the peephole. Which doesn’t make much sense really unless he had that one plugged in and that was his fallback when the first two ran out of battery, but it’s anybody’s guess how much he could actually see with the third one, with a fisheye gopro lens on top of a fisheye peephole lens.
