We were at the Omaha zoo when two lionesses decided to have a disagreement . We were standing right in front of them . Scared the cr@p out of me . Later , the rest of the family said they heard it in other parts of the zoo .

I was at an open air zoo years ago and it was about an hour before feeding time for the lions. Just like my cat at home they knew lunchtime was near and they were all “meowing”. It didn’t matter how far you were from their enclosure you could feel their roars in your bones as if they were right next to you.
