Sheriff went on to say, “Here’s the reason why. Put 1 and 1 together, 2 and 2 together. Another residence in Reno with several firearms, okay. Electronics, large amounts of ammo. A place in Mesquite. we know that he had a girlfriend. Do you think this is all self facing without popping somebody it was a question among themselves. These types of investigations have been occurring the past few years and we have to evaluate that.”

He didn’t say there WAS a conspiracy; he said 2+2 implies there is a conspiracy.

The unraveling of facts occurred with the Pulse Night Club, San Bernadino and Scalise cases. Each time the authorities you give such deference to screwed it up. In the Pulse case, didn’t the FBI interview her, release her and say there is nothing to see here....only to later arrest and charge her? Didn’t they bungle or down play the motives in the Scalise case? How did the FBI do with HRC’s 33,000 emails? How would you grade the FBI’s Awan investigation? They interview him and his wife, release them, only to arrest them as they were trying to leave the country. Trump needed to clean out the FBI on Inauguration Day

I have no problem with that. The performance of the FBI has been horrible as of late.

I know, right? It’s almost enough to remind you of how rich people get while in Congress...

#3. Very good “possible” explanation of who the shooter was, mentally.

However, I want to add that the shooter might also have been in the process of viewing the world as his enemy, esp. since he was basically a longer and loser at gambling.

Thus his shooting at the concert-goers was an attack on “society” itself, and the people, in his psychotic/sociopathic viewing tunnel, were no longer fellow human beings but merely targets representing a society he resented.

He knew the area well, like any good hunter, and he knew when the helpless prey would be there, and he acted.

Thanks for your work and research. So what if some is off base? That’s how we get answers: look at known facts, make various hypotheses, check more facts, discard theories that dont fit the facts. The MSM sure isn’t doing it! Your theory about someone shorting stock related to the sale price of the MGM is interesting although I still think arms sale gone wrong is a possibility. Anyway, follow the money and gains/ losses in power. Who benefited either in money, politically , or public relations -wise after this event?

Of course the LVPD is withholding details, that is just good practice.

I know it’s a money sucker... casinos never go out of business for having a run of bad luck because they don’t leave anything up to luck. Bad luck is only for guests. Now, if he was gambling against other gamblers in poker rather than the house....it would be possible for him to be a very lucky boy ... perhaps with the aide of his girlfriend and tiny cameras, even luckier. Speculation of course.

What I was asking was if anyone had solid, specific information that he was in debt and lost all his money, because I haven’t been able to follow the story closely. It would be a reasonable assumption he had lost a lot over the years, since he was a welcome repeat guest. But did he gamble himself into a hole? I don’t think so, given the other things we know about his case.... namely that he spent a year buying guns, he had money to wire to the Philippines, and he did not go on a selling spree of his assets to raise funds.

I think it more likely that he had some other form of income so lucrative that he could afford to lose, and he gambled for entertainment. His brother hinted otherwise, that he thought he gambled for income... but that may just have been what Steve told his family about his money rather than tell them something they might not want to hear, that it was ill gotten gains. “Hi, mom, I just acquired an obscene amount of money from smuggling a load of heroin. Let’s buy a duplex!” Or “Hi, brother! Some cartel just paid me for bumping off a potential rival drug lord. Let’s go buy a bar in the Florida keys.” Or “Honey, a sheikh in the UAE just paid me for transporting another set of underage Philippine girls. Wanna party for a week in Bali?” It’d be much easier to tell the relatives you won a high stakes poker game when you give them gifts of money, and no questions will be asked.
