It has a name now, is projected to develop a very dense & deep low pressure, and is gearing up to run me right over. Seriously, it’s looking like a Cat 1 is going to hit north Georgia.

Stop attacking people. Constructive criticism is fine.
You are not a nice person and you do not come anywhere close to owning this board.

If calling BS to fake headlines makes me not nice, so be it. It is irresponsible to claim the tropical depression is a hurricane.

It is a Tropical Storm.
From Biloxi to Apalachicola I would be concerned. Ocean will be riled up. I was forced to leave Hatteras last week but the effects were minimal.
This storm will grow and may go east.

I remember Hurricane Opal. It started in just about the same area. Everyone sort of dismissed it but once it got into the Gulf it rapidly increased until it was a category 4.
Now I know the professional hurricane trackers know all this but they have been caught by surprise before.

Opal? How about Mitch in 1998? Came up in the same area, and before you could blink; it was a Cat 5 with winds of 185-190 MPH...wound up killing 22,000 people. Wither Nate? We’ll see.

I think Opal was the one to rip through the motel at the 98 cut.

Opal was, what,1979? Predictive technology, though not perfect, has certainly changed since then.

I was at Jennette’s Pier on Nags Head last week. It was rough. Waves 15-20.

It is fun for you to pull the trigger early. Better to be quick than accurate. Got it. Cheers!
