I once pulled out of Los Angeles on the train and saw a man on a white horse race the train and get the horse to rear as we gained speed and he was left behind. Burned into my memory.
Did he ever sing “Cool Water”?
Roy Rodgers and Dale sang a great duet of that song.
James Doohan (Scotty) was combat wounded on D-Day with the Canadians. He lost a finger which he hid from the camera and took several hits to the chest; he’s lucky to have made it.
I DETEST “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”
In 1949 I was a highschooler who worked part time at FW Woolworths in downtown Boston.
The 45 of “Rudolph” was released before Christmas and it was played constantly, over a loudspeaker, for the entire shopping season.
Dreadful.
.
Oh, Scottie. An influence on my career.
This is very cute. Will have to show it to my daughter.
