I thought it odd that he rented the hotel room using Marilou’s ID. Does one leave the country without ID?

The police also searched for Mr. Paddocks girlfriend, Marilou Danley, thinking that she might have been with him, in part because he had been gambling using a Players Club Card, a kind of casino debit card, that was issued in her name.

His brother was very particular about the games he played. It had to be the right machine with double points, and there has to be a contest going on. He won a car one time, Eric Paddock said.
He’s known. He’s a top player. He’s the small end of the big fish.
Over the past two decades, Stephen Paddock had bought and sold properties in several states, including California, Nevada, Florida and Texas, where for a time, neighbours said, he lived with his mother. Public records show Paddock at one point owned two planes and was a licenced pilot. He also had a fishing licence from Alaska.
He told neighbours he was a professional gambler and a prospector, and he appeared to favour buying homes in retirement communities.
It might be a credit card that he got for Marilou and for which he paid the bills...and therefore kept the card when she left.
Supposedly, she was a hostess at a hotel. I’ve not seen if it was the Mandalay but if so, then he could use her ID to get a discount. But, if he was going to die, then what’s the point of a discount? Unless, she honestly didn’t know anything about his plans and got the reservation in her name for him. None of the story we’ve heard makes any sense.
