Yup. I've unfortunately had to spend a vigil like this at the hospital - though life is no longer possible because one part of the body has died, the rest of the body doesn't know it - it goes on striving and fighting to live.

That’s how it happened with my mom. No brain function, but her body was so strong it took her almost a day to die. It was excruciating. These folks need their privacy in his final hours. Prayers up.
