Maybe the montage confused him with the other main character. But David Soul was in that episode. You can Google it. It’s even on his IMDb profile. He plays the guy with the chick who were spying on Chekov and the blonde, and then started making out after observing them.
Keith Andes was a pretty respectable actor. He must have really needed the money.
