ISIS called for a lone wolf attack on the Las Vegas Strip in a chilling call to arms video released in May, 2017

A propaganda video by ISIS that emerged in May called for a lone wolf attack on the Vegas Strip.
The video the terrorist group that showed footage of Caesars Palace, the Bellagio Hotel and other icons from the casino row on South Las Vegas Boulevard.
Though the footage has been determined to be from 2015, authorities deemed the threat credible - particularly in the wake of the Manchester Arena massacre, and as the then coming Memorial Day holiday weekend which was expected to bring big crowds to The Strip.
I think anytime somebody goes on the internet and makes a threat that theyre going to conduct a lone-wolf or any type of attack, its our responsibility to view it as a credible threat, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Christopher Darcy, who heads the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
both of which would have the range to reach concertgoers

I think my .22 has that range, especially if accuracy is not an issue.
I’m sure he didn’t tote them up there out in the open.
The range seems to be about 350-400 yards, give or take.
These weapons were difficult to obtain.
Some of these were reported to be modified.
He set up two shooting platforms.
Yet, according to this guy’s brother, the shooter did not have knowledge of weapons.
This doesn’t add up very well.
Also, the guy was in the hotel room for several days. Plenty of time to transport multiple firearms to his room.
From 32 floors, A .22 rifle could lob plenty of lead pellets into a crowd at that distance and cause some issues.
He was there for three days before the shooting, so he had time to bring ammo one can at a time. As for the guns, I imagine he had them either broken into upper and lower so the length was reasonable or just in a long, rectangular Pelican case. It’s Vegas - not many questions.
I’m not sure why so many guns. I can see two or even three in case of jams, but beyond that it seems unnecessary. That may have been more about the fantasy than about the actual outcome.
luggage.

Yeah, it’s not like a casino has security cameras or anything; or is prepared in case a well-armed gang tries to rob the floor (sarc/off)

My first thought, as well!
“The range seems to be about 350-400 yards, give or take.”
I saw a chart that put him at 1700 feet out and 32 floors up.
Also, if the guy was in the room for several days, he would have had to actively keep the maid out.

I was a competitor in a match at a range near Vegas. I hauled all my gear and ammo to my room, I’m not going to leave it in the truck. Nobody said anything. When I looked around there was an M60 link under a chair.
When SOF had their big gun show at the Sands there were long guns in most of the rooms, I guess.
Or not. There are locks for luggage.
Maybe I am reaching here, but here is a guy with an arsenal of sophisticated weaponry, but no known knowledge of using them.
What if this guy was murdered to make it look like he was the lone gunman?
What if he fell in with some ISIS types, who did the heavy lifting logistics and shooting, then they murder him, make it look like a suicide, and escape the room somehow—vents, etc.
What if Paddock is a patsy?
19 guns—there have to be records of who sold them if he indeed bought them.
This looks and sounds like a military operation, rather than a lone man who seems like an unlikely person to commit this crime.
How many hours did the LVPD waste because of the Michael Bennett hoax? (I am not saying this tragedy could have been prevented but it makes one wonder how LE man power could be used most efficiently.)
