Die NFL....DIE!
The QB of the Oakland Raiders was injured in a sack yesterday. Taken to the locker room. Wasnt their line accused of not protecting him last week because he did not kneel?
The Eagle played an away game against the LA Chargers and more fans were rooting for them than the Chargers. There were audible boos when a call went against the visiting team. Announcers said they have NEVER seen it happen before.
The fans in the stands are rumbling.
The owner threatened to move if the City wouldn’t buy him a new stadium, and the citizen’s voted it down - so he moved.
This is like politicians moving their failing campaign events to smaller venues to make the photos look better.
Go ahead, NFL. Try your full bucket-list of scams.
We aren’t going to fall for any of them.
Yep, it was very sad seeing the Chargers leave San Diego. The Spanos family deserves a bad time, and it sure looks like it’ll get it. Starting at 0-4 this year certainly wasn’t a great way to start, especially as the Rams are looking pretty good. No wonder fan support is lacking...
Hearty congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles who beat the Chargers in California for the first time since 1974. Fly Eagles Fly!
Should lose even more precious dollars as games are blacked out in local areas due to low gate attendance....win-win for us....
Bump
LOL..... Chargers can’t even sell out a 27,000 seat stadium. Tarping off seats in the smallest NFL stadium???
Yep there was great demand in LA for a 2nd NFL team.
Sarcasm.
Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta was less than half full yesterday. My daughter bought tickets for my birthday so I went to the game. Falcons are 3-0 and defending NFC Champs, Bills were 2-1 and sporting one of the best defenses in the NFL this year and with one of the best traveling and loyal fan-bases in the NFL. So, by all indications an excellent match up that should have been packed not played to a half empty stadium.
Stan Kroenke, owner of the Rams, had $2Billion burning a hole in his pocket, and the NFL desperately wanted football to return to SoCal. As the only of the three owners with expendable cash, it had to be Kroenke that moved to LA, but the NFL had to placate Spanos and Davis, who have been waiting much longer to move to LA. Jones came up with the idea of sharing the new LA stadium among two teams, like the Meadowlands complex in New Jersey, but Kroenke knew that the Raiders were much more popular than the Rams. He didn't want to compete with the Raiders for fans.
The NFL made a deal with Spanos, so that he gets free use of the new stadium in order to block Oakland, who then lined up a sweet deal in Vegas.
In a way, St. Louis is probably better off that Kroenke left. He'd already extorted plans for a 2nd tax-supported stadium, even though the first dome won't be paid off for several more years.
It hurt seeing the Rams leave St. Louis a few years ago. I was already halfway done with football for that reason, and now with this anthem protest, I'm completely done.
Hey, look at that! They managed to use “Chargers”, “loyalty”, and “fans” in the same sentence!
