Thank you, Amy. Always nice to meet other poetry lovers. The earliest poetry I read were Shakespeare’s sonnets. Scandalous to a ten year old. But Matthew Arnold was my heart throb. I used to recite Dover Beach aloud and walk to the rhythm. Working on poetry research for the last two decades has been just joy. There were some really wonderful pieces published in the newspapers in the late 1700’s.
