Where I live in a somewhat exurban neighborhood in E. TN about 20 miles west of downtown Knoxville, there’s no culling of the deer. They’re as common as rabbits and are present nearly all the time. Indeed, it hilariously reminds me of a trip my mother andI took to northern WI when I was about 12 yeas old to visit her sister at the sister’s place on a lake in a national forest. Deer were rumored to b there so we went out early one morning to try to see one. All that happened was we may have heard one crossing and and snorting in the brush. Nothing more for two whole weeks. Now all I need to do to see one is drive down the road in front of my house.

Maybe we should import a breeding pair of cougars. It wold also help keep the small children down, a job my Great Dane and Pit Bull cross have woefully failed at.

Hunter Ambushes...

That’s how deer are usually hunted, crybabies.

They run through our neighborhood like rabbits. If we had a suppressor Mr. GG2 could get our annual venison supply sitting on the deck. :-)

Might as well just buy another SUV.

Last year, my Dad hit a deer. It basically jumped right into his SUV, and as it hit the car, it reflexively shat on it. So Dad spent a good hour or so with some sort of detergent and elbow grease getting the deer shit off of the SUV.

He passed away this past July, so he doesn’t have to worry about the friggin’ deer no more. I suppose in Heaven, the deer merely frolic, rather than pester people frightfully.

Feeding deer is like feeding rats, bats and pigeons. It must not be done. But liberals will be liberals . . .

It was 4 months old. The difference between repair and replace was $28K, so I couldn't talk my insurance company into it, which was my preference as well.

Heard a song something like this in a bar a long time ago:
In heaven they have no deer.
That's why we kill them here.
And when we're gone from here,
Our friends will be running over deer.
