Discipline? Where is the apology?

We would also implore young people who have imitated or are considering imitation our ignorant, disrespectful actions to show proper respect to our flag.
We understand that this might not be enough to win back the respect of our fans, and as an acknowledgement of this, any fan can return tickets for a full, no questions asked refund of face value. The money collected from refunds will be matched by the NFL as a contribution to the various US Armed Forces service relief funds.
Lastly and perhaps most importantly, we ask the forgiveness of US veterans, thier families and those who are currently serving. While there is no apology possible for the disrespect we showed you, we vow that the NFL will no longer take money from the Department of Defense in exchange for appearing patriotic and supportive of our armed forces. Instead, we will merely fulfill our duty as citizens to be truly patriotic.”
That might be a start.
Discipline will probably be pay cuts and/or thinning of the ranks as the market for their product declines.
What would they be disciplined for? Nobody on the Cowboys has taken a knee during the anthem this year or last that I’m aware of.
