That's not where the bridge was. Its a few miles down the Road after you take the ferry. It was across Dykes pond and crossed over to the beach still popular. As I recall it had an air pump so people could let air out and drive the beach, then refill at bridge.

Thanks for that info - had a "Chappaquiddick" sign where the gap was and I assumed it was the infamous bridge made so by the cowardly dastard.

Hate to spend much time in "liberal land" but am considering another late season jaunt - it was relaxing and a early Winter storm made the ferry ride back to the mainland interesting - it almost didn't go and we were plowing into waves that crashed into the front window area by the snack bar area. Best part of the trip for me but the wife wasn't thrilled....
