Graphite in 3.95-billion-year-old rocks from Labrador, Canada, may be the oldest evidence of life on Earth. (Tsuyoshi Komiya)
CARBON..................................EVIL CARBON......................
Whole lot of “may be”s and “could be”s in that article.
One of the foundations of the abiogenesis of life is that it had billions of years to occur. It is a problem having life seemingly pop up over night.
Wow! The first paragraph sure backs off of the headline claim.
GOD playing tricks on evolutionist ;)
If young earth creationism is true, then that is precisely what it is.
God setting traps for scientists.
Perfect for getting federal funding.
Hey, Grandpa!
God the Deceiver.
“Hey, if I do it, it’s godly!”
And if I do it?
“You gonna die!”
Well-verified measurements put Earth's creation at about 4.56 billion years ago ("bya"). However, for the next 1/2-billion + years the Earth was completely inhospitable to life, mostly because numerous enormous meteors struck, turning the surface into lava (it's called the Late Heavy Bombardment). The moon, with its minimal erosion, still bears unmistakable evidence, but Earth's vigorous erosion has long since obliterated most remnants.
Evolutionists, as you've no doubt heard, have always maintained that the first life arose after hundreds of millions or billions of years of "cooking" in "primordial soup." But well-documented discoveries in recent years prove instead that life arose extremely quickly and suddenly after the Earth finally cooled, thus disproving evolutionary abiogenesis as the method of creation but agreeing fully with the Bible's account.
Previous discoveries showed life appearing at 3.7 and 3.8 bya, only a few tens of millions of years after the cool-down, far too soon for evolutionists. But now, incredibly, that date has been pushed back to 3.95 bya: http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017/09/29/oldest-evidence-life-found-in-3-95-billion-year-old-rocks.html
Every time our Lord is honestly tested, He shows convincingly that He is completely worthy of our full faith. Here is strong, clear evidence you can present to seekers--"[b]ut do this with gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3:15).
I’ve never been comfortable trying to constrain God to a 6,000 year box or to a single creation.
The Bible leaves it to us to determine, if we are interested, how long God's first "week" of creation takes; and we've learned very conclusively that our universe is nearly 14 billion years old and our earth 4-1/2 billion. Our duty is not, as you put it, to constrain God but rather to understand and then respond to Him.
They were single-celled bacteria, so yes, of course they did. Never in doubt.
One of the foundations of the abiogenesis of life is that it had billions of years to occur.
...
Life appeared on Earth fairly early, so anybody saying it took billions of years is out of touch.
And then there’s Christian philosophers like Plantinga who believe that evolution supports theism.
There are some who believe the LHB may have been necessary for abiogenesis to occur.
