United Methodist Church bishop Dr. Karen Oliveto is not only a lesbian, she also believes (and publicly teaches) that Jesus was a bigot filled with prejudices. She does say that Jesus grew and changed, and that's her point. Bishop Oliveto admonishes, "If Jesus can change, if he can give up his bigotries and prejudices, if he can realize that he had made his life too small, and if, in this realization, he grew closer to others and closer to God, than so can we."

My mom grew up in that denomination and I remember her telling me about her once bible preaching church, many, many years earlier!
No way would she ever recognize that group today, were she still living (I'm unable to refer to them as a "faith" because they definitely aren't followers of Christ and blaspheme the Creator, so whatever they revere it definitely isn't God!)

Yeah, lesbians, homosexuals, and other deviants don’t like to be told their predilections are sins. Condemning their sins must mean the person making the condemnation is a bigot and is prejudiced. Even if that person is the Son of God.
That this woman could be a “bishop” is an outrage.
What kind of fool would give money to that so-called church?

it’s her direct attack on certain Bible passages and Biblical figures that has caused some within the UMC to be concerned.
If it only concerns them they are as bad as the ones who are doing it.
Maybe people should start taking Rev 17 more serious, it is obviously talking about the Church.
In the past it was not so obvious although many believed that the Catholic Church was the mother of harlots and the other main stream Churches were the daughters of the harlot.
They were drunken on the blood of the saints, the saints drink wine which represented Christs blood, so these harlots are drinking the wine which is called the blood of the saints.
And as long as they do that they feel they are qualified to teach any abomination they want.
Like i said in the past it was not quite so obvious but now it is so plain.
