What a joke you are. On your home page you boast about your “Christian wife and marriage”, then heap praise upon the man who did more than any other to destroy the institution of faithful marriage. I fear to know the deep unresolved sexual issues in your life.

What is it with Yankees who are so quick to be so nasty to complete strangers?....my brother lives in Traverse City......rudeness is like a natural trait there.....man you act like that where I grew up if you're a man and you can get hurt

Since you're an old splittail I'm going to be polite and let you scold on and not fight you like I would a male Yankee south basher....y'all are just as self righteous about blacks as you are sex

There must be something empty in your life to be so ugly with such scant provocation to someone you've never addressed in your life

You claim to be a Christian and shower praise upon an avowed enemy of Christianity who spent his life promoting sexual immortality. Your fate will be as horrific as his is now. Enough said.

“What is it with Yankees who are so quick to be so nasty to complete strangers?”

That trait was the dark side of the Puritan culture that settled parts of New England. A habit of self-righteous finger pointing that we still see in the secular leftism that much of that culture has devolved into.

They weren’t just nasty to strangers, the early ones used banishment to punish anyone who strayed from their rigid ideas- and in those days banishment could equal a death sentence. IIRC Rhode Island became a haven for those who were kicked out of the Puritan towns. And it’s no surprise that the witch craze took root there and not in the other colonies.

We tend to think of ‘yankee’ only in contrast to the South at the time of the Civil War, but it goes way back in the North where yankee culture was seen as a distinct offshoot of the Puritans and its immediate neighbors weren’t fond of them. Clyde Wilson wrote on this, I think this is his essay:
