But at least the players are not multimilionaire know-it-all egomaniacs—and if they are two out of three, it is more excusable in the 18-22 year old age range.

Oh, yes. I’m actually amazed that we are not seeing waves of protests during NCAA games.
Maybe the NCAA student athletes are too busy studying to worry about politics (I kid, of course).

True. During this year's NCAA basketball tournament they were running TV ads with the slogan "Genders don't play sports, people do." The fact that they have separate men's and women's teams and tournaments seemed lost on them.
