‘All Americans have the right to peaceful protests’

That’s absolutely right.

And every company has a right to fire their asses.

“and every company has the right to fire their asses.”

Yes indeed!

After all, behind most NFL players is a golden potential to dig ditches.

"COMMERCE BETWEEN MASTER AND SLAVE IS ________?"
--Thomas Jefferson

When exactly did the rights of artificial collective organisms start trumping those of actual people?

Personally, I think the corporate charter of any entity that demonstrates a value of collective profit over TRUTH should lose the privilege of being chartered by the Republic.

Bingo!

Also, Trump is not taking government action, just expressing an option, so the First Amendment is not in play. He has First Amendment rights, too, as do we.

Imagine if that “peaceful protest” took the form of wearing a Confederate Flag on your shirt - to work. Am I supposed to believe that is protected speech, and the employer could take no action?

I don’t know of ANYONE saying the players cannot peacefully protest or write articles (like THAT would happen!) or talk about injustice on TV. But not while wearing your employee uniform, on company time, in front of people who paid to see FOOTBALL, not POLITICS.

If I kneel before every customer I meet, raise my fist and shout, “Death to taxes! Free the taxpayer!” before serving the customer, would my employer be required to keep hiring me? If I debate customers on company time, is that “free speech”?

I’m SOOOOO tired of the STUPID!
