Yeah, I’ve wondered that too. My guess is that McCain won his first term in the senate on his war record, being a pow, etc. then thereafter he was able to get reelected by bringing home the pork. Same as most elected officials. But, this is McCain’s last rodeo, remains to be see if he finishes his term...
