A bug-out plan is usually falling apart because it’s too complex.
As I learned more skills and discovered new talents (Cooking, medicine, water filtration and starting fires with no tools) I found my bug out bag and bug out plan was becoming simpler and simpler.
The more you know, the less you have to carry.
The most important preparation for emergency is found in your head, and can be learned on Youtube, if nothing else.
I grew up very poor, carrying water from the spring, building fire in the cookstove and using an outhouse.
Been there and survived.
