I understand. My husband worked for a large corporation.

But, regarding this:

(I watched many such confused ex-employees from the 4th story windows over the years)

Although I think throwing problem employees out a window could be effective it probably didn't help morale.

S/he didn't throw them from the 4th story window, s/he watched them from the 4th story window as they left.
