I had a flip phone until a relative gave me their used 5s for a Bday gift about a year and a half ago. The screen could be a bit bigger, but for what I do it is just fine. It has a 8mp camera. Being a tight wad I'll wait until the phone fails or Apple quits supporting it. I just upgraded it to IOS 11 yesterday, so it should be good to go for another year.
I went from 5s to iPhone SE. Same size but has the upgrades of iPhone 6. Great phone and easily fits into pocket.
