I think the average person would be shocked at asian kids and their parents. I watch my wife teach and the term “tiger mom” is absolutely true. Those kids work hard because that is what has been instilled in them from the crib. Kind of how generations past in America was brought up.

What we need is some Billy Jack-type movies with the teacher theme, and some punk-gang decides to test Billy, and lays all the students on the ground with various injuries.

I thought it was very cool that our white daughter was tutoring these “go get ‘em” overachieving Asian kids of Tiger Moms.

I’m in GA. A great deal of the public schools are now black and Hispanic. The whites put their kids in private school. In my area if you drive by the middle or high school when the kids are getting out you would think its an all black area. Not a white kid in sight.
mark my words....because white teachers will eventually not teach in black schools, there will be a huge shortage and the govts will step in and pay black teachers twice the salary for them to be with their brethren.....

I believe you are right. Frankly, you have to be nuts if you are white to teach in a black school. My sister does an amazing job with her students. It takes two or three months, but they almost all come around to loving her and respecting her. But I fear all the time for her safety as there are other animals in other classrooms that don’t know her.
I’m surprised the rest of the ferals in the class didn’t jump the teacher too

When I worked in a ghetto school, a student told me “My momma told me I don’t have to listen to you because you’re white”.
That was the day I wrote off 13% of America.
