The politicization of science fiction became apparent to the public with the social justice requirements added to the decision making for the Hugo Awards, of which Sad Puppies was a push-back. Now the Science Fiction Writers Association is openly penalizing and shaming conservative writers like Jon Del Arroz for pointing out its active discrimination against male writers.
Bamrk
In plain English, does anyone have a clue what this is about, and why Free Republic might care?
Not exactly what I view as useful news...
The Science Fiction Writers Association kicked out Vox Day, a conservative author, for using their hash tag in a political discussion. They said it was their rules, their branding.
Now the head of SFWA, after awards requiring you to be SJW compliant in most content, is attacking conservative authors by name from the group account.
Another institution says “agree with social justice or be kicked out and attacked by the group”, AKA, conservatives not allowed.
