i’ll answer the question everyone is asking- if obama had brothers....
"The late-night buses are specifically designed to give students a safe ride home."
Auburn University, and likely several administrators, are going to get rightly hanged from the financial tree in a civil lawsuit. Their office shredders probably have been busy over the weekend getting rid of incriminating documents.
A rapist tag team involving a bus driver?
Alabama is now Mexico.
That young lady should own the transit system now, on top of a hefty settlement from its insurance company.
I'd like to see the rap sheet on these two. I'm sure they have long criminal histories and have been in and out of jail for years. Which is why I am baffled how they were able to pass a background check to get a job of this responsibility. Maybe this is "affirmative" action at its finest — ignore their violent criminal backgrounds.
I just heard about this yesterday from my daughter who graduated this past May. I somehow missed it from al.com newsfeed.
So sad that her friends just left her or didn’t help her get back to the dorms or her off-campus parking.
And I hope the police also figure out where she was able to get away with underage drinking.
I guess the transit buses and/or their operators are contracted with AU and not actually AU employees but people are very upset and asking about background checks etc. on these two drivers. So yep, heads will roll. Unless it was first offense, doubtful, a background check wouldn’t have caught them beforehand.
When o when will young women learn to team up and take care of each other when they go drinking? So many tragic crimes ...
Just two weeks ago, two Ole Miss girls got in a car with some thugs. It was late and I presume they had been drinking. One later got out of the car and away from them, the other stayed with them. She was taken to another county and raped. Both thugs were felons on parole.
First Transit is in for a world of hurt.
The young women who think drinking to excess is a good idea are not likely to think about safety. They’re also likely to regard other young women they’ve only known for a few weeks as good friends.
Sigh.
It’s okay if you can get away with it.
So many girls get “ separated” from their friends when the bars close, and end up dead or missing
Lots of cases now in the UK
For those that dont get drunk enough fast enough or dont even drink alcohol there are creepers who will spike their drinks
Natalee Holloways friends even saw her being driven away and just “ assumed” she’d show up the next morning
Its young college men too, with the creepy “ “ happy face” serial killer cult killing and dumping them in rivers
Kids reallly need a “ designated buddy” as much or more than a designated driver, to take care of each other
ping
It’s definitely wise to have someone else looking out. I’ve got one daughter in college, two in high school. I’ve warned them all so many times about putting themselves in dangerous positions. My oldest isn’t wild or a partier. She’s a serious student and a strong Christian. Most of her campus social life revolves around Reformed University Fellowship, yet I worry about her walking around campus alone at night. She has pepper spray, but I don’t know if she keeps it handy. All I know to do is keep reminding her to make wise choices and continually pray for her safety.
I played “Guess the Race” as soon as I read the headline.
Right again.
Easy Peasy.
