knew a girl who had migraines- saw her in absolute misery many times- so yep- that pain compares to kidney stones for sure- I’ve only had a very bad headache once in my life- after spending all day in sun- was so bad the drive back home was scary- couldn’t see straight- head was throbbin- eyes bleary- threw up from it- repeatedly- was some glad when it passed- I got only just a tiny taste of the pain of migraines- and that was enough for me- I’ll take the kidney stones I think- I don’t do well with headaches- let alone the pain that would come from migraines if i got them
For comparison, migraines are like Ford Rangers trucks. Cluster headache is a whole different deal and much, much worse than a migraine. If migraines are Ford rangers then Clusters are high-balling freight trains of pain. And they’re basically endless when you are in a cluster time period.
I’ve read that cluster headaches have caused more people to commit suicide than any other type of pain and I completely believe that, having had a lifetime full of them.
If you get a bad sun headache, which is probably from the tension of squinting, take a shower massage and just run it over your skull for a while. It was like redemption for me after my boss had a couple of us whitewash the general store we worked at on a hot Virginia summer day.
