Personally, I ALWAYS thought the wall was a ploy. Frankly, we get a heck of a lot more illegals from the middle east, and east than from Mexico. The whole wall thing was, for me, more of an issue about making sure everyone knows it’s not ok to enter illegally (the opposite of the message Obama was sending), and that is being re-enforced with the actions against sanctuary cities.

The point of the wall is that almost ALL illegals, including those from the ME, enter the U.S. through our southern border. Those from the ME are even getting assistance from the Mexican drug cartels, who are teaming with the jihadists, and learning from each other.
Spend a little time in the city where I'm now living, National City, CA, hard by downtown San Diego, Mexican-descent population 64%, and you may adjust your estimate.
I agree. Personally, I always thought that the idea of a multi-billion dollar towering concrete wall across our southern border, like something out of Game of Thrones was silly to begin with. The best way to keep illegals out is to make the United States inhospitable to them, and this means actually enforcing our laws. A wall is not needed.
And anyone who thinks we are going to kick out people who were brought over as infants is smoking crack. It's never going to happen.
Want illegals to go home? Stop hiring them and stop giving them free stuff. If they're starving on the streets in America, they'll find a way back to Mexico.
Me too. I've posted it here before. I know some die-hard Freepers don't want to admit it and want to flame people who just want to talk about it by calling people "never-Trumpers"...but it's what I believe.
I'm not a never-Trumper. I voted for the guy...I posted a video of me meeting him and telling him my son wants to vote for him in 2020...and we certainly will (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qu4Ci1EM5i0)...but I have never believed the wall will be built.
Why? He can't build it on his own. No matter what he may want to do...the GOPe...who is the REAL ENEMY won't allow it...and until we get rid of those devils...the Trump agenda and his promises are pretty much DOA.
We get more than illegals at the borders. There are no go areas on our side of the border due to armed coyotes, federales, and cartel. Cartel are deep in this country. Rabnchers along the border have lives theeatened, have been murdered, livestock stolen and homes invaded. Not to mention the drugs. The illegals steal jobs, welfare, medicare, education, etc from citisens. They along with our political elitez are our betters and have special privileges and dispensations.

Hard numbers showing reality aren’t that easy to find. But I agree any search on
“visa overstays” will get anyone info the topic. I’m not sure the gov’t has
been actually trying that hard to find/remove the visa overstays. But in the last
couple of years data is becoming available and I think people are beginning to
realize the southern border crossing isn’t the only big number of illegals in the USA.
