Nope, going the other way. We have Spectrum (formerly Time-Warner). They just upgraded all customers in our area to 100mbps - from 50mbps - free of charge. That is, we’re pay $65/mo for twice as much throughput.

Comcast, et al, will compensate for this by exploding Internet access costs.There is more competition with internet and no competition for cable - internet access should drip while cable keeps soaring.

#8 I am afraid you are correct. I pay $42/mo with Spectrum here in California and my sister pays $65 for Comcast internet in Minnesota.
