I bought a Saturn Sky Redline (260Hp) back in 2008, and paid about $32K. Really made this guy I knew mad, cause he spent over $60K for his Boxter, and mine would keep up with it...
I’m in a 2015 Mustang GT now (435Hp, 4.4 0-60), factory setup, and I’m having a blast. There’s a bolt-on blower available to take it past 700Hp, but I’m scared to go there!

I didn’t do it. I don’t have a boxster; but had considered that.
Your Skyline was 260HP and would easily keep up with a Boxster up until you got on curvy roads.
Up until 2016 the Boxster/Cayman base model was only 275 Horsepower.
But a mid-engine boxer configuration is hard to beat on a curvy track.
