i don't see the Cubs getting past the Nationals -- assuming the Cubs hold on in the NL Central.

I'd forgotten how good the Nat's are this year.....

What’s amazing about the Nationals is their depth. With the injuries they’ve had to regulars, they haven’t missed a beat.

For example, when Trea Turner went down, Wilmer Difo stepped in and Turner was barely missed. Brian Goodwin did a great job of filling an outfield spot (until he got hurt.) Howie Kendrick has been a great pickup. And the reconstructed bullpen is a shutdown operation.

And this kind of depth will help them in the playoffs.
