I attended the 1992 NAB convention and videotaped the induction of the Star Trek main characters into the NAB Hall of Fame. This is just that part of the ceremony. Handheld. Don't think any other fans were there, and doubt this ceremony has ever seen the light of day before.
I liked the show having the loyalty to the fans to make sure the minor characters got into the movies in some way. Yeoman Rand is shown in the transporter room in the Motionless Picture, as well as standing up to watch the damaged ship go by - my mind freezes - was that Wrath of Khan? Anyway, much improvement over her cowering behind Kirk in the early episode.
The raw footage is now up. It includes lots of chewing and wild camera moves, as well as Don Rickles roasting Larry King during King’s induction, and King’s speech.

Yes enjoyed it. FYI, I’m over 60 and had never attended any Star Trek or Comic Con events but when I saw it was 5 minutes down the road, I said “what the heck”.
It’s always wonderful to watch other people being happy and proud of themselves.
Cons are a place where you can bubble with people who share your enthusiasms, if TV and sci-fi/fantasy excite you. Different things make you happy? Different places you go to share your joy with others. Same feelings, though. Think of FR as a convention. We come here to share our joys and worries with people who will understand and sympathize with us. So FR is like some big, wonderful convention that happens every day.
