Absolutely uncanny on reading this rendering of Yeats. Very prophetic and almost word for word, as to what these two did. What a host of memories from this former working class lad. I was in the Youth Hostels Movement in 1954. I advisedly, I walked from that same Kinloch Rannoch across the "haunted moor" which was Rannoch Moor to Glencoe.
They had little excuse though. John Buchan, the author wrote this, (roughly). "Something about Rannoch Moor can make strong men pull up their tents and flee". I shake my head and remember older people saying sixty years ago- "what in the world is it coming to?"
If only they could see these two.
