Mark Levin: "Trump threw wall leverage ‘out the window’ on debt deal" Audio in link
Conservative Review ^ | 9/6/2017 | Nate Madden

Posted on 09/06/2017 5:11:21 PM PDT by TakebackGOP

"Just hours after news broke that President Trump had defied conservatives and Republicans by cutting a stop-gap debt limit and budget deal with Democrat leadership Wednesday, President Trump not only turned his back on the people who elected him, but also gave away his biggest bargaining chips for a wall on the southern border, says Mark Levin." The main criticism of Trump and the wall and DACA starts at 3:40.

The GOP wanted an 18 month spending bill. Trump wanted a short term spending bill.

18 months, three months, what about dealing with spending, right now?

We've been kicking the can down the road for far too long.

The poster is just trying to get attention. It’s his MO.

Sorry to say, but McConnell and Ryan make it hard to stay on their side. The Freedom Caucus needs to do more. Trying isn’t good enough.

Yes, fair hearted “Trump Supporters” who thought the wall would be built in 6 months and all illegals would be launched out of the country on Day 1...oh, and all Democrats would bend their knee to Trump. Get real people...with the likes of our “Republican” Congress, Trump in on his own and doing a helluva job, IMHO. Levin can yell and scream all he wants...

They’re not going to do that if they won’t build a wall.

Exactly! The GOP has NO reason to be appalled that Trump worked a deal without him. They have proven they are not willing to do anything...and will not back him. Besides, weren’t they asking for 18 months? Sheesh.

The rest of the GOP was either incompetent or liberal.

We got the best.

I loved how President Trump specifically called out Ryan, McConnell and McCarthy (3 backstabbing enemies of this nation) when he announced this deal. McCarthy laughed as he delayed working on border wall funding until Devembber. President Trump is playing hard ball.

This is the fault of the RINO!! they ask for this and now they got it. Trump will not be stopped by the anti Trump RINO. Trump has shoved their faces in the mud. I am totally in support of what he is doing to relegate them into obscurity. Trump had to get relief for Houston. Trump pushed the debt ceiling 90 days but he sent a powerful message today that stunned the bastards Paul Rino and Bitch McConnell. They were disemboweled before the nation and relegated to complete obscurity. Trump will now flank them with the real conservatives ( freedom Caucus_) and do deals. I would have liked it differently but the RINO screwed themselves— Ryan, McConnell , John cornhole can all go to hell. 2018 will butcher these jackasses and I want a front row seat.

Wrong again. Don’t speak for everyone. Tax cuts was one of my reasons for voting for him.

I think, I heard him say he is working money in for Florida too just in case
It’s needed.
I’ve read many of your posts. U are a smart man.
And we have agreed on many issues.
You know the timing was bad for Trump to draw a line
in the sand over wall funding with Harvey.

A 3 month CR does provide another opportunity.
An 18 month CR would not.

Let’s see what the future holds, without prejudging it.
I am certain we will debate it when it arrives.

Yes, my friend, we have. But there a many cans...which ones do we act on and which ones do we kick down the road. Texas just got slammed and my home state is ready to be beat down next week. Recovery costs money. Not good optics to play politics with states after a disaster, especially ones that play a big role in a Presidential election...even though that’s politics, too. Trump has kicked the Dems in the gut with DACA and put the Repubs on notice they can’t just b*tch and moan about how bad Obama messed things up...it’s about time they actually do something, or get out of the way and let others do it.

The typical meltdown-queens of the NeverTrump.

They never accomplished jack in the decades of being professional complainers, and are still just good at complaining.

The poster of #43 says you are a retard.

It's the internet and I've been called much worse things by much better people. Sometimes alcohol was involved. Sometimes not.

I really can't fault the poster in #43 for not knowing anything about the agricultural, food, or construction industries. He, or she, does now know just how much money is involved in those industries, and how much they spend on lobbying.

He, or she, would also be in for a shock if, in a month or two, they travel to Houston and look at the people engaged in the rebuilding process. More than a few of them will not have arrived in the US legally.

Unlike the poster in #43, my family has land along the Texas border. I've somehow survived this long, but if I make it another 10-15 years, I'm fairly certain that the barrier, and I use that term loosely, across my family's land, will not have been significantly upgraded in that time.

“neither did I believe Trump was serious about all the bilge he pumped.”

Except for everything he did that he said he will do....that you ignore.....because you rather still live in a world where you can assert your shallow moral superiority back up by smug sanctimonious BS.

The GOP literally pushed Trump over the line and backing him into a corner into making deals with Dems. THEY (the GOP moderates & elites) are the enemy. Stop putting this on Trump! McConnell and Ryan are to blame. If Trump would have had the support he deserved after the election, his agenda would have already been passed. Instead, congress has fiddled while our country has burned. No wonder the GOP is in danger of losing their majority.

Sign me disgusted!

Yes. We have been kicking it down the road.
But the GOP has been kicking it down the road
long before Trump was elected.

Blame should be placed on Ryan and McConnell.
Budgets and spending cuts start with them.
