Mark Levin: "Trump threw wall leverage ‘out the window’ on debt deal" Audio in link
Conservative Review ^ | 9/6/2017 | Nate Madden

Posted on 09/06/2017 5:11:21 PM PDT by TakebackGOP

"Just hours after news broke that President Trump had defied conservatives and Republicans by cutting a stop-gap debt limit and budget deal with Democrat leadership Wednesday, President Trump not only turned his back on the people who elected him, but also gave away his biggest bargaining chips for a wall on the southern border, says Mark Levin." The main criticism of Trump and the wall and DACA starts at 3:40.

“Held my nose, voted for him, then took a shower.”

Haven’t taken one since then?

I take it that you are one of the most shallow posters on FR. Hillary was never an option, but neither did I believe Trump was serious about all the bilge he pumped.

Basically anyone who doesn't think Trump will build the wall is retarded. You already have to be pretty retarded since Trump has actually already fulfilled a large number of promises. The problems we're having right now is the fact that the GOP will not vote for Trump platforms. They must be punished an we must get new Repubs. As for the congress wall funding fight, we will have it right before voting in 2018 along with DACA. Better then than now so it's a major part of their campaigns. Those 9 Republicans who can shoot down wall funding for stupid reasons will have a lot harder justifying it that close to elections.

When is the wall going to be funded if he keeps pushing it back?

It's not. Developers, agriculture, and other large industries want the labor that flows through the border, so we are not getting it. Those of us who follow those industries, or who work in them, know that.

The wall, at least as envisioned by Trump and others, is not going to happen, but if you start increasing the penalties for hiring illegals, both on companies and individuals, and if you work out a better verification system, you can reduce the illegals a lot more than any wall would.

They have to come back to the debt problem in December,a quick year before elections and PLENTY of time to get conservatives to run against them before May and June primary season...

“, but also gave away his biggest bargaining chips for a wall on the southern border, says Mark Levin.” “

Levin the dumbass. Does anyone believe that in return for a raise in the debt ceiling, that Ryan and McConnell would have funded the wall?
They have obstructed every Trump goal with a single minded obsession. The only answer is to marginalize them and hurt their goals.

What's this "President Trump defied....."
He's the President....

Ryan has been defying Trump since Day 1...

Trump is not in charge of Congress, so he's not Ryan's boss. Ryan has his agenda, Trump has his.

Rather than focusing on what Ryan is or is not doing, focus on why he is doing what he is. Same with old Mitch. And then focus on why they are still the leaders of their respective chambers.

Levin is insufferable.

So are those who blame Trump for congressional and judicial obstruction.

If Irma hits FL, what is that going to do? The bill for Harvey will have already passed and then it’s 3 months for another stupid CR.

Levin missed the point. If Ryan and McConnell get to jerk Trump around forever, we’ll never get anything that requires congressional cooperation. Since neither of them were lifting a finger to help Trump to begin with, he had nothing to lose. So he sent them a message. Namely, that he won’t put up with their sabotage forever.

It’s the only thing Ryan and McConnell understand, short of a thrashing in the next election. Hopefully that’s coming up.

MAGA was a big harry @$$3d lie.

It's a campaign slogan meant to get people excited at a campaign rally- nothing more, nothing less.

We don't need to make American "great" again, because we've always been great - not perfect as we've had our dark times, but we've always been great, and continue to be great. One need only look at the numbers of people who enlisted after 9/11 to defend their country, many of whom gave their lives, to know that we are still a great country. They weren't drafted or forced into service - they willingly signed up, because they still believe in this country and its greatness.

Wow, could have done that for Clinton and/or Sanders, too. Where would that have gotten you? Don’t give up the faith. Trump is by himself thanks to the fake Repubs in Congress.

It’s really something to watch isn’t it?

Both Donald Trump’ s dealmaking as well as the handwringing here on FR.
