Do you think they would “throw one” at us? They are already challenging everything that the GOP and/or Trump has been trying to do. We’ve been too nice, too long. It’s time, really past time, for some tough love.
It is illegal for anyone to cross our border without our agreeing with their being here. Anchor babies are a technicality that never should have happened as they were in existence but not determined to be a person yet. They crossed as a part of mom. Mom is not supposed to be here.
DACA is nothing more than an excuse to keep illegal aliens on US soil so they can suck up our hospitality. They can do anything a natural born citizen can do. But without the responsibilities. According to a 2016 study by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy who did find that undocumented immigrants pay nearly $12 billion a year in state and local taxes.
But that is small potatoes as the cost to the American taxpayers of 11 million, low estimate, illegal aliens is estimated at $346 billion annually, according to the National Research Council. And medical costs specifically for uninsured individuals, alone, are estimated at $4.3 billion per year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, primarily due to the use of emergency rooms and free clinics. This doesn’t include the billions of dollars more that are being adsorbed by hospitals for inpatient care and never paid for.
These are the “squatters” of American society. They enjoy the privileges — and many of the benefits — earned by those who reside here legally: protection from harm, emergency medical care, public education, and automatic citizenship for children if they are born in the United States to name just a few. And DACA assists them in accomplishing it. Enforce the law. Deport with no more “gifts.” And that would include compromises. And threatening to go back into “the shadows” to escape deportation is not an excuse, it the act of a criminal hiding from the laws of this country. No one should feel sorry for them. They should understand they are knowingly breaking the law. That makes them a criminal, not a victim.
