"Why in the backdrop of all this Hell on Earth would the psychopath Kim Jong-Un execute at breakneck speed a program to acquire a hydrogen bomb and delivery system?"
To ask the question, as if it would make no sense, in the mind of North Korea's leaders to do what they seem to be doing, is to not understand just how radically different is the national and world view of things to the dictators in North Korea.
The conspiracy rests on the belief, in error in my view, that there is no way the dictators of North Korea are doing - arming themselves with nuclear arms, because it makes no sense TO US. Despite not just our intelligence services but others around the world agree they are in fact doing what is generally suspected they are doing.
Yes, here in the west, it can seem "illogical", but to mistake that as though it should NOT seem purely logical to the dictators of North Korea, is nothing more or less than not understanding them and the way THEY think.
And more important is the question who in the hell is helping this crazy son-of-a-bitch?"
Many intelligence sources and reports, from multiple countries have indicated that North Korea has advanced primarily on its own initiative, as far as actually working things out, but also with theft (illicit purchases which are done with third parties and appearing to go to destinations that are not North Korea, but are in fact destined for and arrive there) and outright direct purchase of some needed designs and engineering processes; in the areas of the nuclear material development, war head design and materials, targeting guidance engineering, missile design and missile/rocket motors, which it then refined to its own designs.
Candidates in the outright purchases have been Pakistan, Iran and lately with rocket engines possibly Ukraine &/or Iran again as well.
And, one thing the writer fails with entirely is any background (unless its in the video) for evidence for how he places Petraeus into all this. Does he assume we all supposed to just go read all his stuff somewhere else, that describes about Petraeus the role the writer gives him.
Sorry, no. For the claims about Petraeus alone, the writer fails to make his case. That would be enough, if also the writer wasn't failing in thinking the dictators in North Korea are assessing things the same way the writer would.
Your comments are good and constructive.
You are missing, however, the tie-in with Petraeus. That’s a gap you will need to fill and to do that you will need to read from members of the intel community who are monitoring Petraeus. Understand first that Petraeus is compromised. That is fact.
To get a glimpse of what the whole Petraeus tie-in is about, see post #37.
