I moved to a better climate.
Before that I sweated a lot and tried to move very little.

I lived in CA along the west coast north of san Francisco; not a residential AC unit in sight. Ideal mild weather year round.
Then TSHTF and I lost my job after 45+ years and was offered another in the central valley, a developing desert of temperature extremes. And while away working, my wife divorced me and sold my house. But that's a whole other story.

That sounds awful, all the way around!

We lived in Ridgecrest for a while, high desert. Really hot summers and moderately chilly winters. Then went to Bakersfield for 10 years. Again hot summers, although not as bad, and pretty mild winters.

The absolute worst those Corpus Christi for a year and a half. That’s all we could stand it. Heat and humidity from May to October, nonstop. Even in the middle of the night.

So it could be worse for you! At least most of the nights cool down nicely for you, I am assuming. Being grateful for what it is, makes things more tolerable. Just an idea that I try now and then.

And you could always write another book to distract yourself. :-)
