Hey I live on the Wind River in Riverton Wyoming! Haven’t seen the movy, but its not as windy as the name suggests here!
My girlfriend and I saw it today - was really good.
Never been to Wyoming myself. I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Live in Central NY now.
good movie. the movie suggests it can get very cold in winter at the higher elevations. both the murder victim and the bad guy die of cold.

All I know about the area is what I saw when I was there in June. The gap is neat, the river is awesome, the area around the reservoir is flat and Shoshoni is a carcass of a town.

I grew up in North Hollywood, Ca.
Honest, they call it Hollywood for a reason.
Same for Disneyland, make believe.
Once you’ve seen the movie, please come back and let up know how realistic you feel it is.
Been to Wyoming many times and will go for a month or so this coming spring on the way to Montana.
