>>A study published last week in the National Academy of Sciences concluded that large, damaging hurricanes will happen with greater frequency as global temperatures climb.

Except the temperatures didn’t climb, the records were set decades ago (record highs and sustained highs per month).

>>The mice all agreed, that hanging a bell about the neck of the cat, to warn all of the approach of the cat, was a good idea. Only problem, who was going to hang the bell about the neck of the cat?

Find a pilot just crazy enough for the mission

Storm Oil was used by shipping to calm the seas in the 19th century. A thin film would reduce wind generated water spray, reducing wind speed thus generation of waves. Also an oil film acts as a barrier to evaporation, potentially cutting the energy supply feeding a storm.

How many studies can there be that "concluded that large, damaging hurricanes will happen with greater frequency as global temperature climb."?

Joe Bastardi certainly doesn't agree with that conclusion. I have forgotten the details but he explained that increased temps would reduce the number and intensity of hurricanes due to the tops being sheared off by upper level air currents when they first begin to develop.

Everyday humans should not believe these pseudo scientist charlatans that think they can mess with GLOBAL CLIMATE DYNAMICS by human management of hurricanes, and Earth’s natural weather and climate will not have consequences the scientists cannot foresee. They will produce consequences that they cannot foresee.

Cooling off the Gulf Stream sufficiently to “tame” hurricanes in the southeastern US and Caribbean would cause an ice age in the British Isles and Europe.

These people are so smart they’re stupid. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should, and if you do you’d better be very thorough at thinking it through all the way down the line as far as potential consequences. I honestly see very little indication that any of them are thinking past the ends of their noses.
