As Hurricane Harvey continues to wreak havoc on Texas, celebrities are stepping up to do their part in contributing to relief efforts.

"The Blind Side" star Sandra Bullock showed off her kind side Tuesday by contributing a whopping $1 million to the Red Cross relief effort.

"There are no politics in eight feet of water," she told People. "There are human beings in eight feet of water."

Comedian Kevin Hart attempted to kick off a chain reaction of donations Monday with an Instagram video where he pledged $25,000 to the Red Cross and urged others to do the same.

"I think we've participated in a lot of challenges on the internet, some meaningful, some meaningless, but we've all done them," he said. "At this point, this is a serious matter. I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I'm going to lead the charge and step up this way."

Hart called on his "Jumanji" co-star Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, JAY-Z, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake to make donations of their own and continue his challenge by tagging their other famous friends to keep the donations rolling.

"I have a friend who drives for many famous people in New York. He always says that Sandra Bullock and Tony Dungy are his favorites. He said Bullock always says, “Call me Sandy.”

I feel so bad for her she married that Douche, man what was she thinking that she could fix him or he turned a new leaf. This proves my theory she is the real deal and deserves a real man.

That’s awesome. Years ago I worked with someone who went to high school with her and she liked her a lot.

Heard she is a genuinely nice person off camera. Not fond of her politics but she does not bash as many do.

Glad to have her assistance for Texas and LOuisiana.

#8 Keanu Reeves... if he was not a movie actor I suspect he would be living on the streets.

The owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Craft, also donated $1 million.

Harvey victims will see a small percentage of that in relief. The Red Cross is the last place to which to give money in a crisis.

A truly great place to donate, for maximum bang for your buck, is Samaritan's Purse, the charity run by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Foundation. They have been on point at all the major US natural disasters for decades.

I thought it was going to be an average chick flick but I watched it because my wife wanted me to.
There are a couple of twists in the plot that make it different.
Not going to spoil it.

Reeves only acts when an interesting script comes around. He spends most of his time building custom motorcycles in California.
The Matrix movies made him THAT much money.

I don’t think Keanu Reeves is the typical Hollywood moonbat liberal, he pretty much keeps his mouth shut when it comes to politics.

What, a Canadian who comes down here to get famous and keeps his mouth shut about politics?

How refreshing!!!

I have never heard him say anything about politics or his personal life.
He has caught some grief because he keeps his personal life very quiet.

He seems to be one of the few that understands their job: entertain us.
