As Hurricane Harvey continues to wreak havoc on Texas, celebrities are stepping up to do their part in contributing to relief efforts.
"The Blind Side" star Sandra Bullock showed off her kind side Tuesday by contributing a whopping $1 million to the Red Cross relief effort.
"There are no politics in eight feet of water," she told People. "There are human beings in eight feet of water."
Comedian Kevin Hart attempted to kick off a chain reaction of donations Monday with an Instagram video where he pledged $25,000 to the Red Cross and urged others to do the same.
"I think we've participated in a lot of challenges on the internet, some meaningful, some meaningless, but we've all done them," he said. "At this point, this is a serious matter. I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I'm going to lead the charge and step up this way."
Hart called on his "Jumanji" co-star Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, JAY-Z, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake to make donations of their own and continue his challenge by tagging their other famous friends to keep the donations rolling.

Has the Clinton Foundation donated yet? What about the Soros Foundation? Jeff Bezos?
Bezoar, Zuckerberg, all of them should be stepping forward with millions. Where is Google, Apple, Microsoft?
Ms Congeniality. Good one. Appreciate Sandra bullock.
I’ve always heard and read that she’s one of the nicest, most decent and down to earth people in show biz.
Has the Clinton Foundation donated yet? .................... LOL, the money comes in and disappears in that Foundation. If it doesn’t mean votes, it doesn’t respond. I expect Trump to donate, just to put it in their faces. Like here’s mine, where is yours?
SANDRA BULLOCK VERSUS GEORGE CLOONEY
Have you seen The Lake House?
Good Sandra Bullock movie with Keanu Reeves as her true love.
Nice movie, I watch it a couple of times a year.
Good for them
Gotta give credit where it is due
Imagjne what we could accomplish as a nation if they worked with our president instead of undermining him constantly
That is really terrific, and a perfect example for the rest of the Hollyweird set to follow.
Autocorrect is hilarious at times, ain’t it?
I have a friend who drives for many famous people in New York. He always says that Sandra Bullock and Tony Dungy are his favorites. He said Bullock always says, “Call me Sandy.”
Wait.... they’re rebooting Jumanji!?

She does seem to be liberal leaning, but she’s certainly not the worst as show biz goes. Kudos to her for stepping up to the plate to help out the people in Texas.
Too bad she doesn't have as much sense as she does money.
Harvey victims will see a small percentage of that in relief.
The Red Cross is the last place to which to give money in a crisis.
She has a home in Austin . I’ve heard she’s a very nice lady .
bttt - hope floats
Saw a Commercial supporting the SPLC the other day.
Kobe Bryant was one of the People supporting them.
Just caught the end so I wasn’t able to see who else was in it.
