With treatment, and few serious underlying health issues like heart diease or some type of autoimmune disorder.... your friend should be just fine.

Thanks. Glad your cousin made it through. My friend doesn’t have underlying heart issues. 90% make it, I keep telling myself.

From 2001-2008 there were 233 cases reported to CDC
Most cases in individuals over age 65 years
Mortality/Morbidity
40% mortality, overall mortality is 45%
Mortality rate much higher if mechanical ventilation required
