Cleveland Browns Should Protest Their Garbage Play Instead Of The National Anthem
The Daily Caller ^ | 08/22/17 | David Hookstead

Several Cleveland Browns players made the decision to kneel during the national anthem.

Twelve players from the organization kneeled and prayed during the anthem Monday night against the New York Giants, according to ESPN.

Safety Jabrill Peppers told the media, “There’s a lot of racial and social injustices in the world that are going on right now. We just decided to take a knee and pray for the people who have been affected and just pray for the world in general.”

Protesting is the hottest thing in the streets these days, but perhaps the Browns players should spend a shade more time protesting their pathetic performance on the field. Why is Peppers even protesting at all? He’s a rookie hasn’t done a single thing of note in the NFL, and has yet to play a meaningful second.

The Browns can’t find time to study the playbook or figure out a way to score touchdowns, but they have no problem taking a knee for the national anthem.

I’m really getting sick and tired of these national anthem protests. Colin Kaepernick is out of the league, likely for good, but his cancerous actions are spreading like a disease. The Browns won’t win a Super Bowl, but now they can at least take home a participation trophy for dumb protests.

That jerk Goodell is about to get a seven year extension as NFL head. He threatened the state of Texas about passing the dudes in the girls bathroom law. Yet he is fine with these guys offending pretty much everyone watching the games with this crap.

A protest I’d tune in to see: thousands of fans getting up and leaving the game if/when players pull this cr@p.

Out of the range of TV cameras? Like hell. The stupid media needs to stop focusing on these bastards. Thousands honor the ritual and are ignored but one or a few other misfits act out and they get the spotlight.

The real money for the NFL is TV. If local fans don’t show up to fill the stadium, TV audiences don’t like to watch a half empty stadium, the ratings (which already declining) will continue to decrease. Then the stars of the NFL will join with the former stars of ‘Roller Derby’.

Don’t respect the National Anthem; Don’t respect our nation’s flag: get fired. Actions have consequences. They are employees, and are on their employer’s time. The owner should step up and do the right thing: begin the unemployment line and look for real Americans to play on team. Simple as that.

Is it even possible for the Cleveland Browns to have an audience drop? If so, this will do it.

Many of the “professional” athletes are no more than high-paid welfare recipients. Without the welfare payments many would be out on the streets committing crimes. Some even commit crimes while “gainfully” employed as “professional” athletes. Thugs are still thugs even after they get big salaries and impressive uniforms.

“Jabrill? What the ‘f’ is a ‘Jabrill’?”

A ‘Jabrill’ is an overrated punk who lost to Ohio State his entire college career. 0 for 4.

Jabrillo would be living in a cardboard shack and running around barefoot if he wasn't blessed with living in America. I'm sick of overpaid idiots whining about oppression while they make millions playing a game. The NFL has all kinds of rules on personal conduct but the league remains silent while players disrespect the country. I won't watch one game this year.
