Thanks for the Eddie Cochran links. I agree, he was headed for superstardom until that fateful taxi ride. He was definitely edgier than Elvis. Imagine what he, James Dean and Buddy Holly could have done if they didn’t die so young. I think all three of them would have ended up in some movies together.

I totally love Keith Richards, he gets it, he is a great songwriter and no one cares that his voice sounds like goose farts on a foggy morning. This man gets it

Cochran was so far ahead of his time. I occasionally play a CD of Eddie’s songs and my son had never heard of him but he was all over that sound. This was back in the mid-nineties.
