I’m not an Elvis fan, but “A Little Less Conversation” was a jam!
It’s Elvis Aron Presley
Came across an Elvis YouTube video last month. Have been listening/watching several more of his videos and performances. I’ve come to appreciate his voice and songs from the late 50s and sixties; the ones that I’ve never heard before. Also have become reacquainted with Roy Orbison as well.
I always remember Presley’s death since it is also my birthday.
I haven’t missed him one bit.
There was a time when Elvis was a phenomenon, His Hawaii concert, Aloha from Hawaii.

The day he died was a shock to those of us who grew up with his music. Heard the news on car radio driving home from work. The impact it presented was stunning.
Just this week a new recording, never heard, caught my attention which shows a side of him which brought back a flood of memories.

Tho many have tried, there will never be another ELVIS!
In the Summer of '66 in Albuquerque my friend Jeff Fanning and I went to see a special Saturday afternoon Elvis double feature. Spinout and Frankie and Johnnie. During the intermission a local band "The Monkeymen" played about a 15 to 20 minute set. We were hooked. Soon after Jeff and I started our own rock and roll garage band. We were 12 years old. Fun times. Thanks Elvis.
On this day was three days ago
He’s not dead...
